An Open Letter To President Duterte

Dear President Rodrigo Duterte,

Good day! How are you, sir? I have never written a letter to a president before, but please do accept and read this letter. I hope that you read this letter with an open mind and heart.

We've seen many changes and progress of our country during your administration. As a president, it is your responsibility to protect our country, as well as the freedoms of all Filipinos. You ensure that the security forces enfores the rights and freedoms embodied both the Philippines and the international human rights. Thank you for taking steps to protect and preserve the beauty of the Philippines.

However, I do not agree with some of your policies. I do not enjoy your habit of cussing during your speeches. I simply want to clarify any misconceptions you. I think that it would be best if we all accept one another and respect each of our opinions and beliefs. You have such a great influence over the people of our country, and so, I hope that you will be one to unite us even this is your last year being our president of our country.

Very truly yours,
Mikaella Jhade Corpuz

  1. I can say that I admire your sincerity to our beloved president, you expressed in your letter your true attitude. I agree with you that I also don't like sometimes his habit of cussing in his speeches because maybe others who hear it have misunderstood and they will include what should only be a joke of the president is their belief that it is true, but I have observed that he only does it sometimes for entertainment. I can also say that he did not preserve the beauty of the Philippines because he himself began to rebuild, stabilize and above all develop and glorify our beloved country.
